"I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death. "

The More Things Change The More They Stay The Same ( part 2)

Back in the early 70's there were a lot of rock and roll movies or "Rockumentaries". The most classic of these is #"Easy Rider". It was the definitive "Hippie" movie!
Where I lived they would have midnight showings of these movies on Friday, I think it was. Maybe Saturday. Anyway; the drinking age was 18, it was a great time of experimentation and the memories of these movies is foggy at best. There have been times when "Easy Rider" was playing in the back ground and I've seen it a number of times. Just the other night I actually sat and watched it from end to end with no interruptions and it IS a statement on a generation but there are a lot of parts that could be just as easily been written today. Most of the issues are still prevalent. check out this clip from the great Jack Nicholson!
